Colony 14

Rise and shine, time to get out of that stasis pod!

Colony 14 is a visual novel taking place in the Flyu universe by Cricketsounds. The game is still in development.

You play as a human that woke up from stasis after a strange encounter with your two  situationships, Max and Ahmed.  Now, you're being whisked away by a tall blue alien who disappointedly doesn't have a tail or live in trees. Instead, he seems to be something even stranger and much more terrifying. A politician of sorts!

It seems like you waking up in the future isn't just a problem for you, but this guys political career.

You, SN46, and his human named Fang, will do your best to prove you're able to stay in this new future, lest you get put back in stasis by the Colony's overseer.

Q: HOW DID YOU MAKE THIS?!

A: Programs like Ren'py and procreate were used! Large language models were used to develop code, review the code, help brainstorm functions and help fix errors, especially with the development of minigames. (That isn't to say humans weren't involved in the code! They were!)

Q: IS THE GAME DONE?

A: No, and there is no set timeline for when it will be finished. The demo contains the first three days of a 10 day story. There are two planned routes that are fully written.

Q: WHERE CAN I FOLLOW THE CREATOR?

A: Cricketsounds is on bluesky, but Emerald Scholar (the one who designed the UI and did major parts of the coding) doesn't use social media. There is no official page for the game.

Thanks for reading this far! This is my first attempt at making a game and it has been really interesting. I've learned a lot of lessons along the way.

I never imagined even attempting to make something like this, but thanks to continued support from friends online, I was able to be motivated enough to get this far.
